Anyone who considered Trump a benign buffoon at worst, or a benevolent leader at best, this book proves us wrong on both counts. Unhumans: The Secret History of Communist Revolutions (and How to Crush Them), according to its Amazon page, is openly endorsed by Vice President J.D. Vance, Donald Trump, Jr., and a host of other prominent members of our government and military.
This book is a poorly written piece of propaganda that showcases the author’s ignorance of the English language and grammar. It contains just enough truth to make it believable, but is also filled with trigger words and misinformation designed to radicalize the uneducated.
The intent behind this book is to get us to view one another as unhuman. If we are unhuman, we have no rights, and it is the duty of the “humans” to rat out and eliminate the “unhumans”. This book’s description of what makes a person unhuman is rather broad, leaving room for interpretation. Although it doesn’t mention trump and puppet master thiel specifically, the link to them is clear, based on the foreward by Stephen K. Bannon and the book’s supporters.
This book is a message to the world, warning that anyone who opposes this regime and agenda are unhuman and evil, and need to be exterminated. The parallels to totalitarian regimes and the language used in this book are disturbingly familiar. Most of us leave behind the desire to eliminate our enemies on the playground. We grow up. Some people don’t grow up, they become tyrants.
The Zodiac Civic Code reveals the devastating consequences of an ideology that values individualism over unity and collective growth. The zodiac chart is 360 degrees divided into two hemispheres. The northern hemisphere is a representation of you as a unique individual expression of the ineffeble force that gives us all life. The southern hemisphere is a representation of you as the collective expression of that ineffeble force. These two components are integral to each of us, and they are equally important. We are never truly disconnected from the collective for we are a part of it. It is a delicate balance between our unique individual expression and our collective expression.
In J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, Voldemort’s attempt to cheat death by fracturing his soul into separate pieces serves as a cautionary tale. Voldemort’s descent into darkness resulted from his failure to maintain a balance between his individuality and his connection to the collective. The process of creating horcruxes, or fragments of his soul, led to a de-evolution of the psyche, causing him to lose empathy, character, and spiritual growth.
The Zodiac Civic Code warns us that a similar destruction of the self can occur when we make choices that fragment our soul. When we:
- cut ourselves off from the collective,
- divorce ourselves from our authenticity,
- abstain from the creative process,
- abstain from doing our “great work” and fulfilling our purpose,
we create horcruxes, leading to a psychological de-evolutionary spiral. This fragmentation handicaps us, making it impossible to reach our full potential and contribute to the greater good.
In essence, cutting ourselves off from the collective is like amputating an essential part of ourselves. We need to recognize the importance of unity and collective growth in order to create a free and just society that thrives on the contributions of ALL its members NOT just those that agree with us on any given day for any given reason.
