Neil Gaiman, when asked where he gets his ideas, says he makes them up in his head.Gaiman says this is his most common question. This tells me a whole lot of writers out there are NOT being authentic. Writer’s who struggle with writer’s block, struggle with authenticity and worthiness. It is only those of us who are trying to mold ourselves into an “acceptable” avatar for the world, disconnecting from who we really are, who struggle with knowing what to write.
